About Volvo

Volvo Group has been around since 1927, but they’re far from old-school. They focus on sustainable transport and infrastructure solutions—think trucks, buses, construction equipment, and marine power. With over 105,000 people serving nearly 190 markets, they’re a global name that actually cares about making things better for the next generation.

Role Overview

This is a 1-year Graduate Apprentice Trainee position under the Government of India’s National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS). You’ll be part of the Core Platform Area Manufacturing team, working on real-world software engineering tasks. It’s ideal for recent engineering or MCA graduates who want hands-on industry experience in a structured, supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Work within application maintenance and support teams to keep systems running smoothly • Write and optimize T-SQL queries and stored procedures • Develop and maintain features using ASP.NET with C# and .NET Framework 4.0+ • Collaborate with team members across different time zones, including CET shift hours when needed • Take part in on-call schedules for critical support • Learn and apply automation concepts to improve daily tasks • Document your work and share progress with the team • Stay open to working on new developments, maintenance, and support—all part of the role

Qualifications & Requirements

• BE / B.Tech / MCA (completed or in final year) • Solid knowledge of ASP.NET using C# and .NET Framework 4.0 or above • Good hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2012+ • Comfortable writing T-SQL queries and stored procedures • Strong problem-solving mindset • Complete proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking)

Must-Have Non-Negotiables

• Passion for automation and continuous improvement • Willingness to work in application maintenance and support roles • Flexibility to work in CET shift and occasional on-call schedules • Team-first attitude—you enjoy collaborating, not working alone • Minimum qualification: BE / B.Tech / MCA

Nice-to-Have Skills & Bonus Qualifications

• Basic understanding of Domain Driven Design • Familiarity with emerging tech like RPA, Machine Learning, Azure, or Mobility • Comfortable working in a multi-cultural environment with different stakeholders • Openness to learn new technologies quickly, even if you haven’t worked on them before

Perks & Employee Benefits

• 1-year hands-on training under a government-recognized apprenticeship scheme • Opportunity to work with next-gen technologies and global teams • Learn directly from experienced engineers at a world-class organization • Exposure to both development and support cycles—great for building a strong foundation • Occasional travel involved depending on project needs • A culture built on trust, inclusion, and real ownership of your work
